Wayne Rowley, professor emeritus, passed away over the weekend. A celebration of life will be held on July 12, 2026 in Ames, Iowa. Wayne led Medical Entomology efforts in the Department of Entomology from 1967 to his retirement in 2002, with more than 40 students graduating from his program. He made headlines when he went skydiving for his 85th birthday in 2018. In lieu of flowers, friends may wish to donate to the Iowa State University Alumni Association, designated for the Wayne A. Rowley scholarship fund.
