David L. Dornbos, Jr., Ph.D., earned a B.S. in Biology from Calvin University, a M.S. in Agronomy from The Ohio State University, and a Ph.D. in Agronomy from Iowa State University. After a Post-doctoral position with the USDA/ARS, David worked for Syngenta Seeds, Inc. for 15-years as a Product Development agronomist, the Director of Product Development in the U.S., and as the Global Head of Seed Production Research. David is currently a Professor of Biology at Calvin University, where he has taught courses in plant biology, plant physiology, global health and sustainability, and in biological and medical ethics for the past twenty years. David also teaches in the Seed Technology and Business Program of Iowa State University, where he teaches Varietal Testing (STB534) and Seed Production (STB547) and has mentored the Creative Components of numerous graduates for the past fifteen years.
