Michael Killewald

Hello! I am an ecologist / entomologist with a specialization in landscape ecology and agroecology of various field crops. I am a post-doc, outreach coordinator, data specialist, and help to manage the Alliant Energy Solar Farm at ISU. I have studied how insects interact with their landscape, how these interactions shape local communities, and how these communities change through time. I have a particular interest in pollination ecology and identifying how climate and landscape change and alters community ecology of various organisms. I have a strong background in R coding and I am always interested in collaborating on insect studies and conservation projects– especially those that may allow me to explore my conservation roots in fisheries, wildlife, and forestry management.
