Nicolas Herrera

Hello, My name is Nicolas or Nick, I am a M.S. graduate student in the Robertson lab. My research investigates the epigenetic reprogramming of soybean when infected by Phytophthora sojae. More specifically, In these plant-pathogen interactions how is DNA methylation playing a role in regulation of defense mechanisms. The overall goal is to further expand the knowledge of epigenetic regulation, and how it can be utilized for disease resistance.
