Dr. Sharron Quisenberry was Vice President for Research and Economic Development. During her time in that position, Dr. Quisenberry spearheaded many special initiatives, including the President's Committee on Institutional Excellence and the National Science Foundation's Strengthening the Professionals program, and helped the university secure external research funding. Her research interests were host resistance to insects and insect-plant interactions. Dr. Quisenberry retired in 2013.
